This traditional brass kindi is a beautifully handcrafted vessel commonly used in Ayurveda and Indian households for centuries. Made from solid brass, it has a warm golden tone and a simple, timeless design that reflects traditional craftsmanship.

The kindi is a type of pitcher usually found in the old houses in Kerala and traditionally used as a holy vessel in Hindu worship rituals to dispense holy water without allowing the user’s hands to dirty the water.

In Ayurvedic practice, the kindi is traditionally used to pour warm herbal massage oils during treatments such as Abhyanga (whole body massage) or professional body therapies. The spouted design allows for a smooth, controlled flow of oil, helping maintain the right temperature and ensuring a soothing, even application on the skin.
Beyond its practical use, the brass kindi also carries symbolic value — it represents purity, care, and mindfulness in daily rituals. It can be used for self-care routines, cleansing rituals, or simply as a beautiful decorative element in your home or treatment space.

Simple, elegant, and full of heritage — a kind reminder of mindful living and ancient traditions.

It can be used to pour warm herbal oil on the body or the head before performing a traditional Ayurvedic head or body massage. Make sure you try the temperature of the oil before pouring it. It shouldn’t be too warm but just warm enough to provide a unique nurturing and relaxing experience for the person receiving the massage.

Alternatively it can also be used as a decorative item.
