LAVENDER

A natural sedative, it is great for treating insomnia and other sleep-induced disorders. It’s also an antiseptic and works well with acne and cuts. It is also used to heal knee and joint pains.

JASMINE

It has various therapeutic properties including antidepressant, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, antispasmodic, cicatrizing, expectorant, galactagogic, parturient, sedative and uterine. While it is great for all skin types, it is especially good for dry skin.  

Your Simple Ayurvedic Deep Sleep Ritual

Step 1:   Pour a few drops of the sleep oil into your palms, warm them gently, and massage into your temples, jawline or feet — wherever tension gathers. Let the calming scent ease your mind and melt away stress. 

Step 2:   Lightly mist your pillow or bedroom air with lavender water, inviting a soft, soothing scent to settle in.

Step 3:   Put the eye pillow over your closed eyes — feel the gentle weight and pressure as it helps quiet external distractions.

Tip: For extra ambience: pour hot water from the kettle into a small Uruli (Ayurvedic traditional brass bowl), add a couple of drops of lavender essential oil, and place it nearby so calming steam and fragrance fill the room. Breathe deeply, and allow yourself to drift off in a quiet, restful space.
